Warmest Tributes at Enoch Chapter
In addition to the happiness and enthusiasm of the Companions for the business in hand at the Installation convocation of Enoch Chapter No 11 at Freemasons Hall on 16th October 2024, there was a serious note of poignant reflection as two of its late members were remembered with great affection.
Most fitting eulogies were delivered in respect of the late Keith Tallon and the late Eric Ottley, with the Companions sharing fond memories of lives lived well alongside details of their respective significant contributions to the Chapter and to wider Freemasonry. Metropolitan Grand Inspector David Ellis was able to add his own personal memories and thoughts to the tributes, noting particularly how Keith Tallon had been a giant in the Royal Arch and a great influencer, mentor and educator for many years at the very heart of Metropolitan Grand Chapter. Keith and Eric are big losses, and both will be remembered dearly. It was particularly fitting that Keith's son, William, a member of the Chapter for over 20 years, was present to hear the regard and affection in which his father was held.
After the impressive installation of the Principals and the appointment and investiture of the officers, Neil Mills made an excellent presentation of a Supreme Grand Chapter Certificate to Efe Uwanogho, in a unique and highly interesting address; drawing in particular on the age and history of Enoch Lodge and Chapter.
The Companions dined afterwards at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel enjoying each other’s company and companionship.
