Beneficentia reaches out
Carrying on their tradition of taking Masonry into the London Community, members of Beneficentia Lodge and Chapter No 5308, ably assisted by wives and partners, followed up their September Quiz night for locals in London Borough of Enfield by taking over the duties of chief cooks, servers and bottle washers. They were tasked for a night with provision of food for the homeless in the United Reformed Church in Enfield.
The spirit of this Lodge is extremely high as they look forward to celebrating their Centenary in a few short years. Beneficentia regularly raises money at their quiz nights and Summer BBQ during each year. The Lodge firmly believes in taking London Masonry to the community, not only by donating the money to worthy causes, but also actually volunteering in the local neighbourhood and delivering meals and compassion to those less fortunate – very much the personification of Masonic edicts. No wonder their logo is a man on a donkey, looking to assist a fallen brother.
